Shooting with Becky [Nov. 17th, 2005|07:22 am]
So Sexi It Hurts!

Here are three shots from a diverse shoot with Becky. We shot everything from shower work to lingerie to sitting out on the back porch.

So what did I learn-
1. To really have no preconceived ideas on what will work and what won't. If you believe in the shot, compose it, usually you will get something usable. (however it is okay to have ideas before hand to play up during a session)
2. I was really able to solidify the look I want for some of my black and white work with this shoot. I know was able to confirm what environment will give me the tones I want.
3. Started to realize that the weight of my Canon Elan 7e really allows me to get a blurred look I like that I can't get with either of my two other bodies. From here on out I started to play with blurred pictures.

Let me know whatcha think.

Well right off the bat let's establish that your subject is gorgeous.

Moving on, I really liked #1 and #2. #3 was a little blurry and pixellated. That worked in it's favor in the #1 because it gave it kind of a Psycho feel.

On the whole though, really good work.

Thank you. The third shot illustrates what I mentioned above about the weight of the Elan 7e allowing for a noticeable blurring that is not always unpleasant in my shots when I want it. The pixellation was a problem for these kind of shots that I have since (I hope) corrected with the shoots that followed this one. Thank you very much for noticing this. Dislike of techniques I meant to do do not bother me but dislike of a mistake I missed, I am always glad when they get called to my attention. So thank you very much on this one.

No problem. I'm usually reticent to comment in that way, not being a photographer myself.
